School Bus Carrying Dozens Of High School Students Crashes In Maryland: Police

A school bus loaded with Northwestern High School students crashed with a sedan in Prince George's County on Friday morning, police say.

The crash was reported shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, according to the Hyattsville Police Department.

The crash happened at the intersection of 42nd and Oliver Streets while the bus was still on Route #345, picking up students on the way to school. 

Approximately 25 to 30 students were on board at the time, officials said. None were injured, police confirmed.

The driver of the sedan was transported to a local hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries while another bus was dispatched to take the students to campus.
